I added about 10 pounds of cycled live rock (from a friends tank) about 3 weeks ago. Since then I have had an outbreak of a weird algae - it attaches to the glass and looks like little white threads or tiny trees. At first I thought they were copepod shrimp or something, but now it is all over the glass and looks more like a spiderweb.
My tank chemistry seems good, temp 76deg, SG=1.023, Phosphates 0, Nitrates <10ppm, PH = 8.1, calcium 450ppm. I did a 10% water change yesterday and am planning another within a week.
Any ideas what this might be? Any ideas how to get rid of it are appreciated!
