get the nori going - the clowns won't touch it, get one of those clips that have a plastic suction cup and put it on the front of the galss - then leave him alone - he will eat the nori and he can slowly get used to you (he had a whole ocean a short while ago) it'll take some time - also try live brine shrimp soaked in selcon - they are dumb enough to swim to the tang and mine can't resist them.

I read your post to mean that you got your tang on wednesday... he will soon rule the roost. I wouldn't worry. He will soon be a pig when it comes to feeding time.

I second the advice on nori. Also, the more time you spend in front of the tank the less shy he will be, IMO.

I feed my tangs the following on a rotating schedule:

<ul type="square">[*]Spirulina flake (every day)[*]Nori (as often as my wife will put it in there when I am out of town, she says every day but I am secretly setting up a web cam so I can verify this. I am not obsessed, I am not obsessed)[*]Formula one (every 2 to three days)[*]Emerald entree (once per week)[*]mysid shrimp (ever day or every other day)
[/list]

The mysis shrimp are a favorite, and I usually soak them in selecon. My understanding is that they are very nutritious, as opposed to brine.

Basically I feed twice a day. Once is the spirulina flake food (morning) and the afternoon I feed the mysis shrimp every other day. On the non-mysis shrimp day, I rotate formula 1 and emerald entree.

I would be happy to e-mail you (or anyone else) my feeding schedule. I have it typed up for the wife when I travel.

What is the differnce between formula 1 and 2. My LFS recommends formula 2 but it seem that most people on this site use 1. Which is the one best for yellow tang, and blue(regal) which i want to get soon? Thanks for the help
