Something has been killing off my scarlet legged hermits. The remains are not a pretty sight. I've got a 75 gallon tank with about 120 pounds of rock. Definitely live with lots of pods and a nice sand bed with lots of worms. The only fish are the six line wrasse and a first SGT. I dropped a peppermint shrimp in there a week ago...never seen him since. So, has anyone else had problems with a six line wrasse killing things larger than pods? Do tell.

Nofear...definitely not molting. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had a rabid wrasse on their hands....

Hmmm.....Everything I have is too large for that cute tiny little lips of his..I mean the wrass'.

Personally, I have never witnessed my sixline go after anything that I consider prize collection. Sorry, can't concur on this one.

Well nice hear that someone thinks the wrasse is innocent....but I still think he's the most likely suspect.

I think a crab or mantis is even more unlikely though....the tank was set up for 8 years before I moved it piece by piece three months ago. Narry a sign or indication of anything unwanted.... just wish I could catch the bad guy in the act.....

I recently witnessed a cleaner shrimp eating a hermit crab, not sure if it killed it or just found it dead.
