hey reefers,

over the past couple of months, i've noticed quite a few little aenemonies popping up in my tank, which i don't believe are aiptasia. they're of a similar size, but have all of the tentacles pointing away from the body, instead of alternating up/down like on aiptasia. the body is a cloudy-white, and the tentacles are a light, transparent tan...

anyone know what these buggers are, and if they need to be destroyed? once upon a time, there was only one, which got fairly large(maybe 1cm total length from base to tip), and it vanished without a trace. now i have ~10, in various locations.

so, i think i found a potential id on the little buggers: hydroids?id on them thangs

they look strikingly similar... the coloring and overall structure looks right. mine, thankfully, arent that numerous yet.

but, what i can seem to find is... how do i get rid of these bastards?!

I too have those in a couple of spots in my tank but can offer no remedies. Although I have never seen any harm done buy them, i've heard they can be harmful.
