I got a 38 gallon tank that I would like to drill to make it a sump for a 125 gallon tank. Can you guys help me out and tell me how can I accomplish this...Thanx alot!
It's definitely easiest to take it to a glass shop. 20 bucks seems to be the going rate, although I had mine done for 8 canadian
You could do it yourself with a diamond tip hole saw. The bit is about 30 bucks if you order off the net. I wouldn't try this without a drill-press though as it will take a while for the bit to go through. If your hand tilts a little while you're going through....crack
Or if you're only after a smaller hole and you have a lot of time on your hands you could bore a hole out with your Dremel tool. I did this for a small hole in a 10 gallon....don't try it on a 30 though, it'll take forever.
