While looking through a MO catalog I stopped at the section where the Eclipse's are. Then it hit me that they would make a great refugium for a small to medium reef tank. The tanks are acrylic, which can be drilled. Add a bulkhead, and Voila,a gravity fed refugium complete with lights and extra water movement. Just run a PH from the main tank to the refugium. You could even make it semi-hang on. Make a small shelf on a tall wooden stand behind/next to the tank and hang the return over the side. Gravity fed so the pods don't get chopped up.

Just an idea. Take for whatever it is worth.

Not a bad idea at all. You'd have to support the Eclipse from underneath somehow (too much weight to hang IMO). It would be a pretty inexpensive way of doing it though, you're right. A lot cheaper (and better) than the HOB overflow I'm using on my Refugium...
