I purchased the LS activator and wondermud from Indo Pacific Sea Farms. You don't get a lot of stuff for the price, but they are a great assortment of critters. I transfered a cup of LS from my main tank to my sump and less than a year later I see brittle stars and worms on a regular basis.

I would also seed from LFS sand sources as well. Paragon Aquatics in CT had some nice looking Florida sand earlier this year.

I worked a trade with somebody for some mushrooms sent via USPS priority mail (2-3 day delivery, $3.95 for <2 lbs). Sending the shrooms in film cannisters plus one container filled with sand. I figure it'd be a cool way to diversify a bit.

It's supposed to be a fairly reliable way of sending polyps and mushrooms. We'll see.
