Reef shops in Peoria, IL?

Just wondering if anyone knew of any reef shops in the peoria area, as I will be moving there in a coule of weeks. Thanks.

I don't know about Peoria, but there are a few places around central Illinois. First of all, stock up at Rod's Reef, as you probably know he is located in DeKalb, Rod has the best reef specialty shop I have seen in Illinois. Once you get stuck down here you can check out Capitol Corals in Springfield, they are a garage based operation with great prices and varying livestock. Besides RR & CC I know of no other reef specialty shops around here.

Bloomington/Normal has Pet Supply, your regular LFS with a bunch of idiots who could care less about customer service and 4 reef tanks that have declined terribly since the loss of their reef/saltwater guru.

Champaign/Urbana has Sailfin which is a very nice shop, but also very expensive. They have several tanks at floor level with corals, mostly soft. It's a real pain to look at the corals, as you must get on all fours to see them clearly.

So, as you can tell I'm not too happy with what is availably locally. If I really want something I usually make the drive to Rod's or go to Indiana to Premium Aquatics or Harbour Aquatics. If you have not been, they are all well worth the trip.

Anyone else know of any shops?

Peoria sucks!

The only lfs with reef stuff in Peoria burned down a month or so ago. But it wasn't that great of a shop to begin with.
There are a couple shops in Pekin. Charlies is a decent pet shop, but they have very limited reef section. There is another shop in Pekin that has more reef stuff, but I refuse to shop there. The place is a death trap for fish, and the last time I was there their coral tank was infected with flatworms.

Ohh....and welcome to the neighborhood. With you here I think there will actually be 2 reefkeepers in all of Peoria.
