Apparently some guy named evin has a problem with my tank and with life.Here is what he just put on my guest book.This is the second one i have had to delete.

"This tank ***ks ***k. The water looks like you jizzed in it.The site is put together worse than your mom's grundle. Nice shot cleaning the tank, you probably go in there to rub one out. This site is ****in pathetic. Sorry Mr.4000 put the women an children to bed "

If anybody knows where this SCUMBAG lives please let me know.I will pay him a visit and SCUMBAG i live in Sand Lake Michigan.Come to my neck of the woods and talk like that.Please.If anyone would like to e-mail this SCUMBAG here is his e-mail address [email protected]
I have found out that this was not John Rice he was using his site and name and is being reported to AOL. My humble apologies to John for thinking it was him.

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps someone simply signed his name to the guestbook. I mean, what proof do you have that he put his own name down?

Report the AOL address and they will cut him off. I've seen it done before!

Just checked out your site it's an absolutly beautiful tank. You put the time and money into it and it is quite an acomplishment. You should be damn proud of it and not give two sh*ts what anybody else things of it. Sounds to me that someone is trying to screw with you and it's easy to do hiding behind a computer.

I emailed John from his site and hopefully he will respond.Its pretty sad to think someone has to use someone elses name and post vulgarity for everyone to see.My site is for everyones enjoyment and for the few that want to screw it up for everbody well go fly a kite and get a life.

Many people will always be jealous of what they cannot have and what better way to pump themselves up than to belittle others. I would take the advice of others and do not let it bother you, just report it to AOL. Remember that this board is probably seen by even more children than your sight and I think it would be respectful to edit the above post to reflect your concerns.

jj, sorry to hear that this happened, I too believe it was just some idiot trying to get his jollies, think of it like a prank phone call. Personally, I would try to trace him down like mentioned above.

Definetly not John Rice! James, just report this to aol, the person will have their aol service cut off and then they will have to explain that to mommy and daddy!!

John Rice has advanced the hobby significantly as an intellegent, articulate, and thoughtful hobbyist. Information about species and pictures of his corals has helped us a great deal. The idiot who sent you that garbage was not John Rice and I'm sure he would be very upset to find out someone was signing his name to that garbage!

Hi Everyone,Great news, i e-mailed john and he got back to me and it wasn't him.I was told it was a guy called evin and he's associated with PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals) and has caused a lot of problems for many people.He is being reported to AOL and hopefully they will suspend him indefinately.

Good point. To each there own. You have to have a thick skin when others look at your site. If I don't have something nice to say about a site I won't say anything. John's site is top notch, great information. One of the best sites out there IMO.

James...be a duck...let it roll off your back.

That is a good point, i don't really know if it really is but in my e-mails he says it is and thats the e-mail address i have for the individual.If it is not John Rice than i sincerely apologize and will delete thread and someone is calling themselves him.I won't tolerate things like that said on my site especially since there are kids of all ages on it.If anybody can find out any info i would greatly appreciate it.I would post what he e-mailed me but i would make you sick.My site is www.Mr4000.com

James I do not know John Rice but he does maintain a large website. Go to his website and click on his e-mail or contact me icon. This will drop his e-mail address in your "write" page. Then yo will know if the e-mails match. I hope it is just a prank but you can always block incoming e-mail from that source. It is a shame that anyone in our hobby feels the need to do that to a fellow hobbist.

I have AOL and the ka34579 person has a profile and his name says "evinK" which I would take means Kevin, to wit, I would also say it is not John!

Let it roll. There will be no shortage of A-holes who will bash you from behind an E-MAIL address. There are even bigger punks who also hide behind someone elses name.
