I have a plate coral that is approx 6 inches in diameter. It is very pretty and is almost constantly "pumped up" when I first got it I fed it silver sides, 1 or 2 , each week. Now if I dont feed it on a every other day schedule it seems unhappy and stays deflated.

I'm fairly new to hobby, 6 months, all water parameters are excellent - ANYONE KNOW WHY MY PLATE HAS TURNED INTO A PIG??

Sounds like it is conditioning you to its feeding response. I'm sure it thinks you're coming along very nicely.

Hey, if it's eating well and your water quality is good then the food is being used. That's all we can really ask. Critters that are doing well grow. So "Feed me Seymour..."

hehe

I only feed mine once a week or so, but like 2poor said - if he eats it, feed him.
