Again, without knowing the dimensions, it's very difficult to give you anything thats of value.

I may get a 52g tall. I don;t know the exact specs, but i was wondering if 1 175 watt 10k german bulb place a few flouracesnt would be enough light to have a nice coral growing tank? maybe even some sps? I know that 250watt would be better but is the 175 enough? thanks

oh yah, one more thing. Whats the cheapest current setup for a 175 or 250 retro MH 10,000 K setup? What's the most cost effienct? thanks

Without the specs on the tank (L x W X H) your question is impossible to answer. Appropriate lighting will be dependant upon the physical dimensions of the aquarium plus what type of corals you want to keep.

We really need to know the depth and what type of corals you are planning on keeping. The deeper an aquarium is the more lighting intensity you need to reach the deeper parts of the aquarium.

I plan on keeping mostly stonies and softies and maybe even trying sps. I guess a little of everything. I want at least enouh light so i can keep and grow all types of coral.
