HI: I picked u a bright red tubasraea today. Has anyone had experience with this morph..couldn't resist it. It's the first coral that grabs your eye when you look at the tank!

he polyps have not opened yet..it's only been in the tank maybe 15 hours. My yellow tubastraea is fed zooplankton and brine shrimp every other day and opens quite nicely!

II have a softball size one with the typical yellow and orange polyps. Assume would require the same care as your red one.

They have to be fed which I assume you knew or have learned. Every couple nights, when the feeding tenacles are out, I spray either DT's or brine shrimp from a turkey baster. Tenacles often come out when I feed the other tank occupants during the day. Sometimes I feed the individual polyps very small pieces of silversides or other seafood. A couple times, I believe I gave too big a piece and the item rotted instead of being completly ingested.

Since it doesn't require light, some shelter from intense light is helpful to avoid the possibility of algae overgrowth.
