the Kangaroo is excellent. i got mine on ebay. i use a ultra life float with mine. thinking now, i should have bought the one that comes with the float. All the other pumps come with a sensor that regulates the flow. That's good and bad. If an air bubble gets in there the alarm goes off and stops the pump. On mine the backup battery was dead. I disconnected the backup battery and ran the wires to the motor, in that way the sensor was bypassed and water is regulated by the float and it works great.
Save yourself the trouble and get the one with the float.
They are medical dosing pumps and have one myself. I use mine for top off and dosing to raise calcium as well as alkalinity. You'll get great customer service with them.
