Wave 2K update

I have contacted Jody at JOMI Products and requested a schematic diagram of the wave2K. I need to know if anyone has a scanner that I can send the diagram to via FAX and you (whoever it is) can post the diagram for everyone to see.

Jody said the original release date of the unit is July 15, but the parts necessary for the unit did not arrive on time and caused a bit of delay. The revised release date is August 20. Jody, the inventor, designed the wave2K under the principle of a plank pushing water up and down to force water to exit from either the top or the bottom. The unit motor is externally mounted (outside of the tank), The motor connect the in-tank unit via a concealed belt. As the belt rotate the center shaft (which has reversible grooves), the plank inside the unit rise and falls to push water upward and downward alternatively. Pretty smart design I should say!

Unlike some of the big-shots out there, I do not get to have an eval unit, I have to buy one. Anyhow, I expect to see my unit with modified wider lips early september.

So, anyone with a fax, a scanner, and a web page that I can send the diagram to???

Thanks for the update. They are basically in my backyard....only 20-30 minutes from me. I have been meaning to call Jody and see if I can have a look see at the prototype, but I haven't had a chance yet.

Yeah, I did. Just very curious to see what the unit looks like and how it runs. However, they are not shipping the unit until probably the beginning of September. Plus, I asked them to do modification for me as my tank has 4" wide lip all the way around. Their standard unit will not work in tanks like that. I believe the starndard unit are built to work with regular glass tanks (without the lips on top).

BTW, I have to buy it, as I am not one of the famous celebrity of the aquarium industry that gets to have eval units.....obviously!

Hehehe....funny........I am not going to throw my $$ away if indeed I find its a crappy unit. I will then not report to any of you and put it for auction on ebay. I am sure someone will go for atleast 1.5 times the price I bought! I will let some other poor SOB end up taking the anger management class!!
