I suggest just using Geminis. They pump 960 gph and they sit on top of the tank. No loop system needed here. I have 3 for a total of 2880 gph in my 58 oceanic. I still plan on adding a surge which will dump 20-30 gallons every minute or so. I also have a rio 2500 for a sump return.

ps..by the way, with this kind of flow, you cant afford to have a sandbed!

I run 68 HOT canister filters on my 20 gal. Hows that for a closed loop system.
