i have gotten aptasia in my tank, and have been trying to treat them with stop aptasia. about a month ago i noticed some aptasia in a cluster of polyps. i treated the aprasia with an apllicator directly into the body of the animal, but every since the polylps wont open. some of them will open slightly but most will not. they don't seem to be dying but will not open. nothing in the tank has changed and all of the tests read fine. any thoughts?

I would suspect that the Stop Aiptasia is the culprit. If it kills the aiptasia then it is most definatly some sort of poison. which can't be good for the polyps or imo the rest of your tank. I personally would never add such a product to my tank.

Yes I would probably suggest peppermint shrimp the next time you have a problem.
Try directing more water current on them for a day or two and try to direct feed them with a turkey baster.

I used to use stop aiptasia at the store alot with no problem. If the polyps ingested some of the stuff i would assume that they wouldn't be thrilled. Give them some time and they should hopefully come around.
