I know a 55 is too small for a yellow tang. I was guaranteed a larger tank if the yellow tang grows large.

It is a 2-inch, yellow tang w/ 2 percs. I was wondering if the following symptoms are good signs.

1) It is grazing really well, better than my previous experience w/ grazers.

I am just afraid I can't feed it enough or get the food to him. The clowns are always lurking and aware of the food I put in.

Any ideas? I just tried flakes. I will try a formula cube later.

I kept a yellow tang in a 55 FO for over 5 years before he passed on. Continue to feed him a diet rich in Seaweed Selects and Nori and you should be fine until he outgrows his tank.

Take up that guarentee to get a larger tank. FWIW, that tang should at least be in a 75.

Finding Nori in Hawaii will be easier than breathing. It is the purple sushi wrap. Get the unflavored one. I soak mine with selcon and garlic(Kyolic) before putting in the tank for my Fox Face.

I will get seaweed. However, sometimes the seaweed floats around after I soaked it in selcon and put it on the clip.

NanoWind, I also strap nori to a small rock with an elastic band. This way, you can just drop on a few drops of vitamin, and the fish can nibble away without being able to tear off huge chunks that float away. I use tongs to put it in and take it out.

FWIW, not all nori is firm, some does go mushy quicker than others.
