ok, i have a diy over flow i don't have a u tube, it is like the cpr ones...no u tube.. when the power goes out it stays primed but it won't keep up when the power comes back on. more into the tank than out...so i could have a flood. the vinyl tubbing that is hoooked up to it gets air in it (because it drains the outside box to the bottom) then the air takes up space where the water should be and limits the flow. so how do i fix this? anyone please please help. the power never goes off but if it does i don't want a mess of water, burnt up pumps, and shorted electrical stuff.

should i buy a u-tub overflow? it that my best option. i have heard they don't flow as fast. i have a mag 9.5 throttled back slightly as my return pump...will it handle it? my LFS will seel me a u-tube overflow w/ everything for lik $75. i don't wanna spend that money on that but for safety i will!!
