is the hose from H.D. reef safe

I just want to know if the the clear hose from home depot is reef safe. it has a label that says " food and water uses" . what do you think guys.... it's a lot cheaper.

I used the clear hose from HD. No problems. I remember that display said the same thing about being food and water safe, but different HD's stock different products.

I think most of it is clear silicone hose, and I've never bought any specialty hoses ever, I just buy a spool of their tubing. The only problem is that it gets old and stiff (I think that's why a lot of people use ozone resistant tubing).

Thank you for your reply guys, I asked this because I've heard this: "if something smell, don't use it in your reef tank" and this hose smell like cheap plastic. anyway now it's driving water from my sump to my tank
