Fiberous red algea on sand. How do I get rid of it?

There are patches of stringy red algea starting to grow on my sand. Should I let it run its course? Mix it under? or try and scoop it out? Anything eat it?

Need more specific description. Cannot tell if you are talking about cynobacteria, turf algae, or micro worms.

How old is your tank? Strombus gigas will eat red hair and reportedly cyanobactre also. But make sure you have enough diatoms for it long term and not just use it to knock down a typical new tank bloom.
