The first meeting of TASARAC, the Triad And Surrounding Areas Reef Aquarium Club, will be held on Saturday January 26, 2002 at 6 pm at the Aquarium Center of Kernersville (806 Hwy 66, 336-996-4833).

The goal of this club is to get together people interested in keeping marine and reef aquaria in northern North Carolina and Southern Virginia once a month to exchange knowledge, get to know others in the hobby, and trade corals. The focus of the meetings will be on current approaches to reef aquaria, reef keeping basics, and aqua culture.

TASARAC is going to be a club without dues, although we would like to encourage people to bring refreshments to the meetings.

(Please note that in the future we will be attempting to hold meetings around the second or third Saturday of each month so as not to interfere with frag trading meetings at Marine Ecosystems.)

The next is probably going to be on 2/23, but that has yet to be finalized. I will add you to my email list and let you know the final details when we have them figured out.

Hi guys,just a quick question,if I traveling from the west,and I take the I-40 by-pass at Winston-Salem,then turn onto 66 North near Kernersville,is the Aquarium Center before you get to 421/I-40 or on the north side of 421/I-40,near the railroad track?

It's on 66 between business and regular 40. It's closer to the business 40 end. If you are coming from I-40, head north (towards Business 40) on 66. There's a Brick Oven (I think that's the name) restaurant on the left right before the little shopping center in which the Aquarium shop is located. It is really easy to get to. See you at 6 pm.
