Thinking about getting a bigger tank when I move next month. What did everyone pay for ther 180 or 125????
Tank only and which one would be better and why

do the 180 its wider 24 inhes i think
i have a 135 and its only 18 inches from front to back
i had a custom tank done and it 30 inches front to back

The tank is the cheep part! I would not worry about the cost difference!

Get the 180. It will inevitably be too small some day as well, but it just might take longer to realize with the 180 than with a 125. As far as cost, I don't remember how much my 125 was, but with the cheapo pine stand and glass tops and light strips it was $450. I think you can get a tank for pretty cheap by itself nowadays. However, if you're talking acrylic, it'll be a lot more.

Thanks guys, I'm also thinking about the 92 gal corner tank with the round front. I will be building a custom stand and hood for it so thats not an issue, This tank will be upstairs with the sump in the basement along with a 38 a 30 and a 75 gal tank that I will use for my frags. I've got some really nice sps, can't wait to start sharing the frags again!!!

Don't get the 125gal. You would like the 180gal better, because it is 30" from front to back. That would give you more room for your rocks. And the depth make it look a little more natural. The 125gal, I think is only 18" or 24" from front to back; and that is a little shallow. The last time I check, the 125gal was $279.00. Hope that help.
