It appears that the server that is running REEFS.ORG does not have the capacity to adequately service the visitors. Either that or they have deliberately throttled the utilization of the messageboard. In either case, it's not good...

I'm available to offer resources if you all can't seem to get this problem solved.

And if you had read his post, and the threads he reffered to, you'd know what's wrong, and what we're already doing to resolve it.

But just in-case, I'll download the log now and make sure nobody's intentionally causing this.

Mariner, no need to be rude, they do bring you this board which you dont pay a cent for. You I believe have a obligation to use it in the correct manner. Or you could go to reef central where they would ban you for such a comment.

Hey, it's all good. We're frustrated too by the difficulty using the boards, though we're thrilled by our recent leap in traffic.

This is why we leased a dedicated server. All should be moved in the very near future.

Ok maybe I shouldnt have said rude, I apologize. I just feel all members have an obligation to use the forums correctly to minimize the traffic in each forum. Posting in the wrong forum bumps post in the correct forum making traffic to high for good response. Of course I posted my topic on the new sponsors in the wrong forum. No hard feeling I hope.

www.coralreefimports.com/forum has a dedicated server which can handle the bandwith.

A board of which you are the adminastator and at this piont the only registered member. Hmmm with one member there must be lots of bandwidth to use up along with lots of opinions.

First of all, this is a great site. There are many very knowledable folks on this board that are willing to help you 24/7. I have learned so much in the last few months since I found reefs.org. Every question I have posted has always been answered. You guys are great. Everyone should just be patient about this.

Sorry Mariner, none of the stuff below is directed at you.

First, it is free.

Second, I have always got good advice even when I disagreed.

Third, it is nice to have a civil board. As for your link to that wonderful

board I checked it out. (You must love the free advertising on this board.) The language you use on it nearly makes me sick. Usually even for a minor word I expect and prefer to see @#!!@# or even He**. I was thinking that this was just a new person posting and that it would be removed until I noticed that it was posted under the name of jgargano. The quote that I am refering to and that I censored for this board is "I find that when you leave the tank alone it yeilds better results than ####### with it all the time." I like to come to a board and get good discussion, information and even civil debate; this pretty much assures I won't go back there.

Thanks to the moderators of Reefs.org for keeping the board clean.

Just making the point that you shouldnt expect problems on a board with 1 member, 6000+ members is anouther story.

Who knows how your board will end up but most of the boards off of retail sites never get the diversity a board like this would. JMO
