AP Tap Water Purifier & high phosphates?

Just recently, I began using water distilled by an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Tap Water Purifier system. I have noticed over the month or so that I've been using this water, that my red cynobacteria population is fairly exploding. Has anyone who uses the TWP noticed a problem with this or with high phosphates?

I have been using a TWP with an R/O unit for years. The quality of water coming out of it depends on how bad your water is to begin with or the cartridge may need replacing. Test the water coming out of it to see how good or bad it is. At least you will know if it's the TWP or some other cause in the tank like lighting,phosphates etc...
