In my new tank(4 MONTHS OLD) I have been noticing growing #'s of flatworms, these are the yellow-orange bodied ones with a red/brown spot in the middle. Today I syphoned out a good 2o or so large ones. these things are reproducing at an alarming rate! what can I do to get rid of them before they reach plague-proportions??!!

Keep siphoning.

Or, just accept them as part of the life in your tank. Many, many people have them, because they are almost impossible to get rid of. After a few years, I don't even notice them any more.

This type of flatworm has appeared to be harmless in mine and many other reefers' tanks. One day the population of them will die off considerably for apparently no reason. Siphoning won't do much to hold the population back. My mandarin ate them actually, which was a good reason to have them, IMO.
