Over the past weekend, I had the pleasure of sharing company with Rich Durso (aka reefland), Brian Conger (aka Atlantis), Rich Knecht (aka RichK), and Sanjay Joshi. Spent the day viewing the tanks of Rich Knecht, Penn State University, Sanjay Joshi, Mack Messner, and Ted Ziff. Wonderful tanks, and great people.

You can see the pictures I took here. I broke down the images by tank. Both Brian and Rich Durso have pictures as well, but I don't want to steal their thunder

so I'll let them post their own links.

I'd like to thank everyone involved for a fantastic weekend, and for their hospitality. Special thanks to Rich Knecht for allowing us to stay at his home.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed the tanks.

Thanks Minderasr!

Nice pics! Did you get any photos of the fresh water tank which is right next to the main PennState tank? How is the freshwater tank doing? Nobody ever talks about it.

I have some friends who are going to grad school at Penn state (going to look at the school this week), I told the wife all about the Penn State tanks. What beautiful pictures!

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the pics. Still want to see some more shots of the Penn State tank, just too cool. Question on it: How much of that is coral growth vs. entire colonies? I see some frags, but also some large colonies that had to come from somewhere. What is the stocking story on that monster?

Nathan- I heard from Rich Durso earlier that the FW tank was right next to the window, and is difficult to photograph because of the glare.

Yes, that and it was setup for African Cichlids, so it was lots of rock, no plants, and very dark. I did take a couple of pix, but they didn't come out due to both glare and darkness of the tank. The fish looked healthy, and the display clean.
