double bubble ?

i came home after a weekend of rafting, to find my bubble tip anenome had split in two. it was fairly happy and quite large when i left, and the remaining pieces have not shrunk. what happened here ?

has anyone's anenome done this before ?

How large was your anemone before it split and how long did you have it? Mine is about 5 mos old and the size of my hand, I'm hoping it will split some day too.
