Hello,

While in the process of upgrading to my new 90gal, and trying to keep two systems that are near each other but separate going, I spilled some water and POOF

, the VHO's on the old tank went out.

Immediately, I noticed the unmistakable smell of fried electronics. It was the Solar 750 dimmer that I had disconnected cause I didn't like the way it worked. However it was still wired into the Icecap, just not powered by AC.

I unplugged the dimmer from the ballast, and cut the connecting wires so the VHO setup was original. Still no lights. Changed out the bulbs with new, still no go. Checked the fuse on the ballast. It is good.

I'm thinking the surge (or whatever) must have somehow fried the Icecap. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I will call Icecap tomorrow morn., but figured I'd check in here first to see if anyone can suggest something else.

Tia,

Sorry to say Emmitt, it sounds like it's fried. Icecap has pretty quick service on repairs though.
