1. How many meq/l does your tank drop per day?

2. How heavily stocked with calcium carbonate absorbing organisms is your tank? Light, moderate, or heavy?

3. What's your lighting like? Low, medium, high?

1. My tank drops 1 meq/l/day

2. moderate-heavy

3. High (~1000W MH over 75g)

Heya Nathan,

1)When the reactor was shut down,i noticed about 1 meq/l per day until she was up and running again.

2)Heavy sps load(30pcs)and med lps load.
(9 fish,100hermits,110 astreas&cerith,190lbsL/R,3"SB and 5"dsb in sump)

3)880w M/H and N/O actinics over a
150g.

I lose pretty close to 1/2 meq/l each day.

I have low-to-medium lighting (well, 2x65W over a 37 gal tank.

Light Ca++ load (1 medium sized sps and a handful of frags, 2 lps, and a raging case of purple coralline)

My very heavily stocked 110 Gallon SPS system with 2X 250 W Iwasaki's also drops 1 meq/l/day.
