What lighting would y'all sugguest I put overy my 37 and to keep a few soft corals? I currently have 96watt 4 tube PC. Thanks any replys will be appreciated.
i have a 2x55 watt power compact for 110 watts total on my 37 i currently have a toadstool leather a fingerleather and purple and green shrooms which are all doing fine
personally I love the PC's I have I just wanted to see the opinions of those on this board. also could you give a short descripion of animals that would be good for me to get?
I would think most leathers, finger, toadstool, cabbage, etc, mushrooms, button polyps, yellow polyps, star polyps, open brain corals, hammer, torch, bubble, favia sp, etc. Basically just about everything.
Be carefull though. Different corals like different conditions. My xenia pulse better in water with a higher dKH, my elegance and frogspawn coral do better in a slow current whereas my star polyps seem to like the higher current. You'll kind of have to mix and match. Use the search feature for specific info about certain corals.
As long as perameters are good, go for it.
I've got a 37g with 2x65W PC + 40W NO. Currently, I've got (they're all healthy and growing):
mushrooms
button polyps
star polyps
xenia
toadstool leather
green toadstool
colt coral
green bubble coral
green open brain
montipora d. (SPS)
4x96W ought to work fine for just about anything (I'd even try some SPS and maybe a clam w/ that)
