Good Day All.
I've had a problem with my Calcium being too high now for at least a month. I've stopped adding the 2 part B-Ionic Buffer which I use to maintain Calcium in my 90 Gal Reef Tank. Just measured again today and it is ~560ppm. My Alkalinity seems fine (4meq/L)and PH 8.3 right on. I've been doing water changes 4 gallons 2x week and calcium is slowly coming down. Any ideas what could be causing this and methods to address? Thanks.

I'd take it in to a lfs and make sure your calicum test is accurate. I've read a lot that they can be incorrect. (Be sure test isn't over a year old). Hopefully someone else can help you out.

Was your Ca++ ever normal or did you buy a kit and realize it was high. Ca++ test kits are notorious for being bad (some brands much more so than others).

At 560ppm and 4.0 meq/l, you're awefully close if not past the point where your tank would be snowing CaCO3. I very much doubt the accuracy of your test kit.
