to scrape or not to scrape? pic included

This is the center of my tank, the backwall is just glass, painted black and covered with coraline. Now my question: would you clean the back wall, so it'll be just black, so the reef-pile and the fish will contrast more with it?

Further, the niger won't stay long in my tank. I just have it to let it grow a little for my lfs, and it was also severely damaged by some other fish in the lfs. For now, it is a model reef citizen..

Are you kidding? I'd *kill* for coralline on my back glass! Leave it...if it's good enough for the rock so the corals contrast against it, then it's good enough for the back glass as well.



BTW, your tank is fantastic...I love the aquascaping...makes me jealous.

I would say personal preference. I think you will be taking on a full-time job trying to keep the back glass clear.

I personally like the look of the back class covered in corraline.

Definitely a matter of personal preference. I personally like the contrast between the colorful fish/corals and a black background, so I like to keep the back glass nice and clean.

I knew that was your tank the moment I saw the photo...without looking at who posted the thread!

I use your aquarium photo as the wallpaper on my compter...when I FINALLY setup my tank, I'll try to arrange my rocks as you did (I saw your web site)!

For now, the sun is reflecting in the front of the tank, so it's impossible to take any good pics.
