Threw a huge brittle star in my sump a month ago because he is getting so big. Figured I would leave him in there until I find a home. I looked in there today and he was on the far end and looking quite fat. Since the only thing in the sump is algea, snails and emerald crabs I could not figure out what he had eaten. I noticed that he was hugged up with an airstone I threw in there a week ago. Well after a couple of days of that he doubled his air size by sucking in bubbles. True enough he now floats !If it were not for those long legs he would be floating around in the sump. I have him on the other end now were he cannot get a hold of the air stones. Maybe in a day or two he will let go of the air.
