My copepods are getting to be really large.
I'd estimate around 3 cm long!!!

Anyone else have such big copepods?

I have seen a few in that size range. Aggressive buggers too! They will actually swim up in the water column to snatch food. I wonder what the upper size limit is ?

In the wild, they have been seen up to 12" long, and they will come after you when you're diving on the reef! Creepy...

This "little" guy is about 2.5 cm. If he was straightened out it would probably reach 3 cm...

FYI, Guy's pic is of an amphipod, not a copepod. Might be a good idea to know what you're looking at

Chucker catches me every time I try to sneak one of these by...

Good job Chucker!

PS. Most of my copepods are so tiny they are barely visible. They look more like fleas.....

I have what seems like hundreds in my tank. At night I use a little pen light to watch and they look like little roaches crawling all over. Many pushing .25" or better if they were straightened out. They do look creepy.
