SouthBay Calcium Reactor

Has anyone tried the SB calcium reactor? I am thinking about ordering one. Wanted to hear from you guys. Can't say I know alot about them so any advice would be greatly appriciated. Thanks for the help.

Don't know about them but I am happy with Geo calcium reactor and am sure you'll find other who will say the same....do a search

I have also seen these advertised at Jeff's Exotics in LA. It seems to be priced well and I have considered ordering one too. If anyone has tried one I would be interested to hear how it went.

I have 2 Geo reactors, they are as good as any you will find and the money is right to. do a search on geo and check them out.

I got the K2R a while ago and have had a few problems. I am sure that some of them are my fault. The first one happened on day 2. I got everything hooked up and it all seemed to be going fine. I woke up the next morning and looked at my tank and the water level was down about 1/3. I freaked out and rushed to get more water in my tank. The water filled the inside of my cabinet and soaked through my carpet and under my house. My wife was not thrilled! After I got it all cleaned up, I disconnected the reactor and took it to my LFS. They took it apart and found that "inspector 12" did a poor job and one of the o-rings was missing from the Eheim pump. Great! After a few weeks of hesitation, not wanting to flood my house again, I hook it up again. Everything is fine. I go off to work. I get a call at work and my wife tells me that there was just an explosion and this white cloud shoots out from the cabinet. Good thing my kids weren't around. I get home and disconnect everything again. I take the tank to get it refilled and find that the safety valve on the tank had blown. So now I will attempt to hook up my reactor for the third time. I will let you know if my wife wants to divorce me by the end of the week.

How pathetic ! nobody can answer the question and the answers some gave have nothing to do with the question. I wonder if these people actually read the question before they open their mouth !
