I don't know about Jamiaca, but I just got back from Mexico, and they won't let you bring back anything "live" this inclused anything that used to be alive (ie fruits etc) If your flying, you'll get info on the flight over. Have fun!

i went to montego bay about 5 years ago and they made everybody sign a form on the plane before you land explaining what you can import/export and how much of each thing. one thing they stressed was NO livestock or plants. bring back some rum, you can get it really cheap and its great! hehe

little note*the only people that can bring dogs into jamaica are people from england, and then only after the dog has been quaratined for 6 months. jamiaca has no rabies and they want it to stay that way.

And they did search my carry on when I was leaving from Mon. Bay just last month.They really went thru it very well to.So I would not try to bring anything home!!!!If you are going to Negril you must go to Rick's Cafe and do the cliff dives and see the best sunset in Jamaica.Have a great,safe trip!!!!

Bring back some rum. Be careful they have been having riots on and off in Montego Bay. Many hurt and a Policeman killed.

ANEMONEBUFF is right, ther have been a lot of problems so I would take Tim-Air from Mon-Bay to Negril.Much less chance of something bad going on that way.Once you get to the resort you are safe as a bug in a rug(or a clown in its anemone)whichever the case may be.hehe

Thanks for the advise guys, the violence seems to be in kingston and that is on the other side of the island. I wonder if i could ship some stuff home from there?if i ship on my last day then it should arive with me

i will probably be too busy anyway it is my first trip alone with my wife in ten years..........
