GE Sunshine bulbs come in 36" length?

I need to replace my NO blubs and have been reading about the GE Sunshine (very similar in spectrum and much cheaper) and would like to give it a try. I have found the 48" and 24" at Wal-Mart and Home Depot but cannot find a 36"?

Does anyone know if they even make a 36"?

I've been searching for about a year now and no one seems to have them.
It's kinda funny cause Home Depot and Lowes have other 36' GE bulbs just not these skinking sunlight bulbs I've been looking for.
I have a 65 gallon tall tank so these bulbs would fit perfect.

I have gotten the 36" at Home Depot before. Maybe they quit carrying them?

I just called GE 1-800-435-4448. The guy said 36" is made but not carried by many stores because it is considered an unusual length.
It's number is: F30T12C50

He suggested, to check and see if they will special order it for you or go to a Electrical Supply store such as Grainger.

I called Home Depot to see if they would special order it and they said No because they would have to bulk order so many they don't special order any of their flourscents.

We have a Grainger nearby and I called them. They said don't have it in stock ($13.75) but could get it in a couple of days. Trick here with Grainger, and probably the other electrical suppliers, is they must sell business to business and they will ask what business this is for? I told them it was for our fish tank in our front office..

(they needed business name, address etc...)

I'll go and pick it up in a few days and let you know from there.

you can go to grainger online and buy from there.

We too have a grainger store and they dont ask for a business license. It used to be that way years ago but changed around 95 or so

If they do ask just give them a name of some local electrician and just pay cash

I saw a 48" for $7 @ HD tonite.
They are 40watt 6500's
