I am at a point now of anemonia overrunning my tank! Out of desperation, I have been killing live rock and anemonia with RO/DI fresh water dips. I'm wondering if possibly a low salinity treament might work better? Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking if I can fill a bucket with Saltwater (maybe at 1.016 - 1.019) should kill these guys off but dunno for sure. I figure I could whack at least 80-90% of these pain in the A$$ critters because most of my corals have not attached to the live rock yet. However, The other 10% I will try the Injection method. I've tried this method befor with mixed results. Are their any natural predators or a better treatment method please let me know. It's already at plague proportions (approx 200 already)

I don't believe that the 1.016 salinity would kill them, don't even think they'd notice. Blast them with boiling water one at a time w/ a turkey baster although you could still be doing this by next xmas...

peppermint shrimp are a predator but they may eat polyups, If you have acces to the rock put little clumps of salt directly on the apista as thia kills them

OK, I guess I have to resort to the fresh water soaking of my live rock. Injections sometimes work but they are beyond that point now. I will try to remove like 10 Lbs of LR a week until these buggers are dead. Hopefully I will get a handle on them soon. If their are any other suggestions please let me know. Thank you
