I added a rock covered with purple/blue Discosoma's to my 75. The 'shrooms have been in a retracted state 90% of the time since the addition. Lighting is 350W MH and 192W PC's. Other parameters are normal:
pH = 8.5
Temp = 80º
alk = 8.5º
Ammonia/Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 12 ppm
Density = 1.026

How long have they been in there? Some corals take a little while to feel at home and open up.

My mushrooms aren't crazy about the light in my tank (75g - 4x96 pc's) - they're open, but the ones in the shade are prettier.

I say give them time and move them to the bottom if you haven't already. Mine did better with indirect light instead of right under the halides.

They'll probably be much happier.

My 'shrooms that are under rocks or out of direct light are bigger, grow faster and have better color than those that are in direct light. Yours should respond to the move rather nicely.
