After My trip to Petco yesterday (to pick up cat food-In a bag, not out of a tank you sickos. ) I decided my two remaining tiger barbs are outta here and a New 10 gal nano will go on my desk!

I have spent alot of time lastnight and this am researching and have a few questions for all you Nano's.

Does anyone have plans for a small skimmer they would like to share?

Is anyone From NYC ordering live rock in the near future, I only need 5-7 pounds, so If I could piggyback on an order, that would be nice.

Would a firefish do well in a 10 gal?

TIA

I'd go skimmerless and spend the money on lighting. My eclipse is 20 months old without a skimmer. I used to change a gallon of water a week but am slacked off to once a month for the last few months. I may go back to more frequently now that I have an RO unit. I have a small clams numerous feather dusters and sponges that have been there since day one. I don't know if they would make it with a skimmer.

Congratulations! I just set up a five gallon nano last night. The damnsel was becoming too much of a punk, so he will be exiled as soon as the tank cycles.

Nano!!! I have a 10 gallon nano with 40watt pc's and ho bulbs. I have a couple of softies and 1 sps. I have a skilter 250 pro on my tank. the best part of it it that u can use the filter or skimmer alone.

The firefish would be perfect for that size tank. I have a 12g half back hex with a builtin wet dry on the back. I took out all the bioballs and fill it with cell pores and its been doing great. I have a Remora skimmer on the back that is only on during the evenings when the lights are out. There are 2-28w pc's on the tank. It's been doing great for over a year. The only fish I have in it are a pair of Percula clowns.
Here is a pic of the tank. Good Luck.

Bingo, did you get the nano set-up for figure out how you were going to go about it? I'm becoming very interested in a nano although some would consider my 29g a nano I guess.

What are the limits of nano-ness?
