So one more question on getting my LR from the tub it's been living in for about 6 months into the new tank -- As I was moving the rock from the tub to the tank, I noticed that lots of big pods were jumping ship, as it were. I know that I got tons of worms and lots of tiny snails that stayed on the rocks, but there are probably 100 pods of different varieties still in the tub, hanging out among the detritus in there. I would love to get them into the new tank, but I don't want to take any of the water from the tub, as it is saturated with bubble algae and water from burst bubble algae!

Any ideas on ways to capture them?

I would consider the siphon just to get a few of them so I am sure that there will be pods in my system... maybe I'll siphon them out and then lose the water in the net.

...this is so silly! I am saving animals I never bought but would feel terrible killing! or even just letting them die.

The amazing thing is that knowing that they exist, we all still go swimming in the oceans and seas. We really are nuts!

:)

Okay, forget it. This is silly. If they do not want to be saved, I will not shed a tear for them!

I just spent ten minutes trying to siphon them out of the tank, and I got NOTHING.

I am just going to trust that there are at least two of them in the 55 gal.

So tell me, these guys are sexual? Anyone know how rapidly they reproduce?
