Disaster! MP40 Fell...

Ugggg!!!!!

MP40 somehow fell right on to my gorgeous long tentacle plate coral... from what i hear, that will make that piece a goner. So sad.

When i try to connect the MP40 and turn it on it rattles and shakes. I had bought it used a year or so ago... Is the MP40 most likely done for also???

Sorry that happened. If it just fell and the tissue did not take too much damage it can heal. Provided water quality is good. If the dry side of the mp40 was secure and did not fall off the tank it should be fine. You could start by trying to clean the wetside and checking for debris. Worst case you may have to buy a new wetside if you discover a problem.

Ecotech has great customer service and support. It may be time for a new driveshaft. You can purchase a replacement kit cheap through their website.

Worst part of the hobby is equipment failure!! (And pests) imagine how easy it would be without those!)

Found a wet side at tropical island, and that did the trick.... praying for the plate coral, looks good as of now...
