Pop corals

Im a little upset monday i called pop corals and they said they were open until 9pm so i live in long island i got in my car battled the snow and the belt parkway to reach them by 830 and they were closed should i be upset about this it makes me not want to try and go there again any feed back from guys who have been there would be awesome

I'd be annoyed too. That being said they are a good shop with some really nice pieces at reasonable prices. The staff does know what they're talking about. Maybe next time when u call u should tell them you're coming and make sure they're staying open. Maybe there was some emergency or something and the guy had to close early. I've been there a bunch of times where there's only one person working.

True i get that but dont tell me your there til 9 and i get there and your closed and it took me over an hr to get there

that's a tough situation, maybe they headed home early due to the same reason. I suggest giving them another shot. let them know about the situation they'll definitely take care of you for the inconvenience.

i mean maybe i even PMed them and no answer im not looking for anything its the just fact of customer service if i go some where to eat and i have **** service im not going to go back but if i go some where and i have **** food and great customer service im gonna go give it another shot

You are correct that's under normal circumstances, but due to the weather I would give them another chance. I go there at all times of day and theyre usually there, just harsh circumstances for that day.

I would give it another try. It sucks that they were not there, but in their defense the weather was bad, and it was close to their normal closing time. I would go when the weather is not as bad and when you can get there a little earlier. 30 min isn't long when your shopping for fish and corals.

Your right but it i left my house at 645 to get there people on the belt and southern state were dumb as hell maybe ill give it a try another time

Since it took you 1 hr and 45 mins to get there I guess they assumed you weren't coming. I've never been there but I would give them a try, given the circumstances of that day.

You never know if they had an emergency and had to close early. I would at least call them.
That being said the store is only open for 7 hours a day and the weather wasn't bad enough to close early.

I remember asking Gene at Tropical Showcase why he didn't close early on one hot August Sunday afternoon. His comment was, "what if someone shows up that was expecting us to be open"? That's not the way I run my store".
I always respected him for that.
So, heck yes I would be upset. I hate the Belt.

Angelo exactly i made it from long island to brooklyn it wasnt that bad and mr first your totally right i work for a large company and if sometimes i gotta stay open that extra 10 mins to make sure the customer is happy i will

But I would talk to them and see what they say.....you never know, maybe they had a family emergency or something.

I spoke to them and they did the right thing i will go check them out this week and yea man screw the belt i hate it

Love this store.... FR CORALS. Coral prices are great and they have a nice variety. Fish on the other hand tend to get a little on the $$$ side and some fish aren't doing to great... but for CORALS gotta love them!

Should have called Johns cell, I think the number is on his page. John lives like a block away and would have met you and opened if he knew the circumstances. No body beats there customer service in my opinion, I had a RW4 pump that I didn't even buy from them break and they fixed it for me free of charge.
