Should I be worried about cyano and algae in my fuge? (pics inside)

Hi All,

My tank is 2 months in. My fuge has a 2.5" DSB on top of 1.5" miracle mud.

I have 24/7 light hitting half of my fuge where my Chaeto and a small piece of live rock sits.

Also some pods in the fuge.

As of the last 2 days I have noticed algae and cyano growing.

My DT is fine, i have no signs of cyano. I do have some green algae which I expected after my cycle finished.

Should I be worried about the state of my fuge, and it spilling over to my DT?

Please advise

I only leave my light on refuge from 930 till 730 in morning

bro i fighting the same problem take care of the cyano asap tho i been using red slime remover, the green hair is no problem clean up crew

I have no signs of it in my DT... only in my sump..

I guess my question is... is it normal for cyano to grow in the fuge if i'm doing 24/7 lighing to my chaeto ?

I have green hair algae, and a pretty hearty clean up crew. They don't touch it. Any suggestions?

I heard somewhere its no problem in the refugium but if in the DT theres a proble

Get it out. I just had to remove my cheato because a little started in my sump. I went to bed and woke up to some in my display. Then it was everywhere. And I have tons of flow and a massive skimmer. It was a real jasdle.

it can infect your DT too, unless you have an UV sterilizer between your return water and the DT.

A uv between fudge and display kind of defeats one of the purposes of pods making their way into the DT.
