I don't use Nutri sea water. I guess for one reason someone buying that. Would be they don't have an Ro/DI to make salt water. Maybe another reason would be only adding a small amount like into a Nano . Buying already mixed Sea salt will get expensive very quickly. It might be good for help start a new tank. I think it's a good habit not to mix different salt and stick to one brand. But everybody needs are different. I always wonder why people would buy already mixed sea water. Especially paying $12 to $15 for 4.4 gals for that stuff.

I totally agree with the cost, it's a tad expensive. I was interested in trying it behind the fact that it contains Contains 11,000,000+ live bacteria. I see the main problem with this is the cost factor.

I use the stuff for my 45 jbj. I like it a lot. I can't really say too much about the live bacteria...... What I can say is that the PH is more stable than petcos ocean water (although I used to use that and the only complaint I had about it was the ph was a bit lower than I preferred and lacked decent buffering capacity.

Yes, it's a bit expensive but I don't have a lot of space in my apt to store mixing containers etc.

I have used petco, and all brands of ocean water for around 4 years now. I mix and match constantly.

I have had decent results and wouldn't sway people away. All aquariums are different and all reef tank owners run their systems differently.

It can be costly, but also can be much more convenient and mess free. That's my number one priority at this point.

I use the Carib sea one and like it. I was planning to try the nutri seawater one. I only have a 5 gallon nano so for me buying pre mixed is worth it. One jug lasts me about 3 months. So about $5 a month is satisfactory for me.

I have an RODI for my top off water so mixing twice a month with Red Sea reef salt is a two second job and I lot easier than hauling a 5 gallon jug around, and its must cheaper too.
