Ok so I guess the basics....
50 gallon tank w/ 30 gallon sump
6 bulb t5's with ATI bulbs
in sump- Skimmer, fuge, chemipure purigen and phosgen

Parameters
salinity 1.024
ph 8.4
ammo 0
nitrite 0
nitrates <5ppm
phosphates 0
calcium 400
alk 9
mag 1290

Lights on from 1:00 to 10:00

Tank running since 11/14
2 onyx picassos, six line, algae blenny, goby of sorts ?
CUC of snails hermits emeraldcrab and cleaner shrimp

So my issue.... cannot clear up the tank. Glass develops very dust like green algae very Quickly And water has not cleared up in weeks. Clean multiple times per day. I am completely baffled. Doing 15% water changes weekly. Use strictly RODI water and tropic marin pro reef salt.

I'm not sure where to go from here. Any insight would be stellar.

Keep skimming, Keep doing weekly water changes and keep up on maintenance. That took my tank about a year to settle in. 6 bulb T5 is pretty powerful on a 50g. Might want to scale back the lights a little also. I also started running a UV which helped a lot. You'll get mixed opinions on them but I love mine.

I'd say it's the chemipure purigen, that stuff will cloud your water. You shouldn't be trying to regulate any levels with that yet theoretically. The tank needs to fully cycle first. Once it's mature, then worry about all that. And the more you try to regulate it throughout the cycle, the longer the cycle will take. It needs to do its thing on its own... and it will.

Put a UV sterilizer on end of story some people don't like putting UVs on reef tanks but I've seen full blown reefs packed with coral that had a UV on them and everything was fine not just in some short term situation new tanks old tanks same result with both,no more green water and a little piece of mind when it comes to parasites. There is truth that it can kill beneficial bacteria how much? Not much, in my opinion seeing is believing and I have seen many of reefs with UV with no ill affects...PS I am 36 and have worked in this industry since I was 13. I haven't seen it all but have seen a lot and the UV is your best bet...even though someone will inevitably post that it's not a good idea for who knows why.ha. Hope it clears up...also anyone telling you to give it time and do water changes and let time heal all wounds didn't ask if your water was green if you do water changes, with your lights on and feeding fish your water will never clear the light the phosphates in the food and time will just turn your tank into pea soup every week. Oh and I wouldn't worry about your chemi pure and purigen I have used that stuff forever and it has nothing to do with your problem.
