Just made my own Oyster Feast

Good evening just wanted to share, just made my own Oyster feast, the corals love it.

Can u tell us how you made it ..

verry simple you need 4 cups of water 1 cup of oysters and you also need 1/4 teaspoon of Sodium alginate.

I thought oyster fest was oyster eggs?

It's actually everything mixed together, the oysters have the eggs in them. The nutrients that the coral will get from the oysters are the same. they are filled with omega 3

The sodium alginate helps the oyster stick with the water, because when you blend the oysters with the water it seperates the alginate helpls stay together

I will post pictures today. Also i am making my own recipe for fish food which i will be freezing, because the reef frenzy is taking a toll on my budget. As long as you have a local fresh fish store you should be fine. The Ninja Blender i got is perfect for chopping up stuff.

Couldn't agree more when u have a lot of fish PE mysis and reef frenzy costing me $40 a month I'd rather spend that on a fish or something

how many oysters to a cup?
do you blend it to a liquid.
i make my own frozen cubes. i make a month supply for about $10.00

so i buy in my Korean fish store called Hmart they have already a cup full with cleaned oysters. It fills a full measuring cup of oysters to 4 measuring cups of RODI water and then a 1/4 teaspoon. Then put it into the blender and blended it to liquid about 3 - 4 minutes

Matt just a little info regarding Oyster and their eggs:
While some oysters have two sexes (European oyster and Olympia oyster), their reproductive organs contain both eggs and sperm. Because of this, it is technically possible for an oyster to fertilize its own egg. The gonads surround the digestive organs, and are made up of sex cells, branching tubules, and connective tissue.
