I wouldn't worry. Its very hard to get a tank completely level. I tried leveling mine and as I did it would go off a bit the other way etc I just got it 'good enough'.

Cmantis it's very easy to get your tank perfectly level. I used a 6ft level since my tank is 6ft used shims to level it while tank was empty. I then filled it half way without hooking the plumbing up and checked again and the left it over night. Next day I checked the level filled it up all the way all the while watching the level and it stayed perfectly in the bubble. Shims is a reefers best friend :) if your tank is just cycling no reason not to empty it into a container or several 5 gallon buckets and doing it right. Jmo

My tank was a cube maybe that is why it was harder? I dunno but I used shims and spent hours and still couldn't get it completely level. Maybe it was my floor maybe it was my lack of skills but its no perfect. Point being I don't think it will effect the integrity of the tank but Im no expert.

I don't know what everyone else does but my lights, sea swirls and mp40s are on a outlet that shares other power at didfernt locations in my house. The 2 6 ways I use are screwed up high so in case of a leak the water won't sit on them. The big power pieces of equipment are on their own circuit breaker. Nothing else shares it power. That runs my pumps, skimmer, bio pellet reactor, calcium reactor, fuge light, heaters and my frag tank light. Again the power strips are screwed up high so no water can sit in the strips in case of a leak or accidental splash

You want to use an outlet that isn't tied it with other things pulling a lot of energy for start. Many of us use controllers that will tell us if something stops working. Also when running your plugs you want to keep it off the ground or inside the stand where there is risk of water dripping or excessive humidity. Also try to create a drip loop so if water does run down it won't run back up actually getting into the outlet itself. Its is recommended too if possible to use gfi outlets that will trip.
