What are you using now?

In the past I've used API and Salifert for the majority of tests. I have a Hanna checker for phosphate as well. it's been a long time since the last time I tested my water, and as such, I'm assuming all kits are expired (I'll check to be sure though).

Anyway, now that Ive decided to keep some more difficult corals and have a tank that's actually worth looking at , it's time to buy new kits!

Salifert for alkalinity and nitrate. Seachem for calcium and magnesium. Hanna low range tester for phosphate. Refractometer for salinity.

Red Sea for alk, cal and mag

Is Red Sea easier to use than salifert or are they pretty similar?

i have had both, they are similar but i find red sea more user friendly imo.
