Hi,

Which refractometer would you suggest to buy?

I saw the below one on eBay for 24$..

I made the eBay mistake. Go BRS

but brother if you closely look at the eBay refractometer and the one on BRS....they both are the same....even check the box and the wordings when the box is open....LOLLL

to me it looks like one manufacturer makes it, and sold under numerous names. sometimes its a different box but the refrac and case all look the same.

yes edd...looks like that as you said....but then it makes sense paying 24$ on ebay than paying 39$ + shipping on BRS if you are getting the same product.... loll

You'r Welcome, i got b 4 also e-bay, then DD all show dif. #, is true cost $ 129 but , u now for sure ,what u got.lol

I have the ebay one and have been using it for 2 years. every one said its junk bla bla. checked against 3 or 4 different ones and you know what. it was the same as the $100 and $15 ones. if you check it periodically with a friendly LFS you should be fine. the only problem is if you need a part (lens) just throw it out and buy a new one. good luck.

Just calibrate every time. It takes 10 seconds. As long as you are matching the reference you should be fine.
